OER

OER is Open Educational Resources. This would be great for students to have access to because its freee and they have standards for all of the resources. I found this tools useful for me to become a teacher. It showed me how I could use Games in the lesson. Games are always a great way to get students involed in a lesson and most of the time they are learning while playing but they dont see that. This site also give me pionters on Homework. How homework is not always the best for kids. One of the last things that I liked about OER it show you about how you can go about your room. What do you want to do about it? When it comes down to it OER will be very helpful not just for up ciming teachers but also for students and teachers, really any learner.

I BELIEVE....!!

I believe that education should be inspiring. You should feel welcome and ready to learn when you come in to class. This should be a want and not a have to. For me education was never inspiring. I went through school with an attitude of ‘I didn’t want to be here’ and ‘I wasn’t smart’. It was not till the end of my high school career that I got inspired. I only wished that is was sooner and for some people it is. I wish that I could have changed and cared about school a little more and I might have if I knew this. The thing that in spired me, was knowing that I was number one in the group of kids that had learning disabilities. It all started when my mom came home one day after having a meeting with my adviser. They had told my mom that I was doing great in school and that I was the only one that was even trying to take college level classes. This open my eyes that yah I might not be at the top of the class but I was at the top of the learning disability kids. This showed me that I could do anything that I wanted to do. Yes I might have a learning disability and mine might not be as bad as some but that was not stopping me from trying and that should have not stopped anyone else from trying either. When my mom told me the news, I just could not believe it. This made me come into college with a whole new attitude. When I got here I told my self that I wanted to be valedictorian of my college class. That I was going to show people that even kids with learning disabilities could be successful in life. It does not matter who or what you came with it is about what your dreams are and how you are going to get there. For me a want to become a teacher, I went to show my kids that learning can inspire you. That learning can make your dreams come true. This is way I believe the education should be inspiring to kids no matter where they come from.

TWITTER

One thing that everyone knows about is the Internet and what most teens know about is the famous networking site Twitter. To me at first Twitter was nothing I wanted to be a part of. I thought it was some stupid website. Now learning more about Twitter I realize that its more than just a website. It is a place were you can get great information. You can follow important people. So now that I know just a little more about Twitter, I hope to find more out and see if it will help me more with my future.

Telling Time!

I hoped that you liked my power point!

This is the standard my power point is based on

The project that I had to do was make a power point that had a lesson component. The process for me was not that difficult. I already knew how to make a power point and how to use all the animations. To get the kids to interact with the power point I made a little game. The game was simple you just had to answer the questions, but you had to answer them till you got them right. After the game I would then test them to see if it helped them learn and if it didn't then I know that I need to go over it again. When I present it everything worked great so I know now that this could be something i could use in a class. Over all this project was easy for me.
